Painting walls is a very important action for renewing the house. Choosing the right tonality of color in each rooms, matching them with the furniture, gives to the house a more comfortable aspect. In general it is suggested to choose neutral and light colors, in particular with colored furniture or textiles.

As an alternative, in order to give an original and contemporary touch to a room, it can be applied on the walls two different colors: a more particular or darker tonality on a wall and a lighter or white painting on the others.

Before starting choosing the right painting, it is appropriate to evaluate the condition of the walls, if they are in a good condition or if they have some specific problems, such as mould on them.

HOW TO PAINT A WALL WITH STAINS OF MOULD

In case of walls with stains of mould one of the preliminary and most important operation is the removal of it. The use of a washable or super washable painting is one of the most common tips in case of mould on the walls. It creates  a superficial film which impedes to the water and to the humidity to penetrate inside of it.

This film on the wall  does not impede the proliferation of mould if it has penetrated in the deepest layers of the walls.  This means that mould, even if it is not visible, can keep on reproducing in depth.

The solution?  A complete sanitizing intervention on the was before proceeding with the choosing of the right painting and so with the painting.
