Against mould you have an ally: CAMP
Knowing how to remove mould from surfaces in the home is very important. The key is to intervene promptly before it spreads and becomes an even bigger problem.
Mould can rot surfaces and cause health problems such as allergies, respiratory tract irritation and fatigue.
In this article we will teach you how to use our anti-mould products and give you some small tips to defeat the enemy. An example? When showering or cooking, open the window or turn on the fan. In this way you will avoid condensation moisture, which is the most common cause of mould formation.
Some advice
The most effective way to eliminate mould is to eliminate its causes. So find out where the moisture is coming from and improve the ventilation of your rooms.
Then, make sure that gutters and downpipes are not obstructed, that water drains properly and that there is no seepage.
And inside the house? Avoid drying laundry inside, air the rooms often, watch out for possible plumbing leaks and install vacuum cleaners in the bathrooms, kitchen and laundry room. An electric dehumidifier may also be useful to reduce the general humidity level in your home.
Adesso proteggiti
Before carrying out any work, wear a mask, preferably FFP2, so as not to inhale microscopic spores, preferably long rubber gloves to protect your hands and goggles to prevent spores from coming into contact with your eyes.
Passiamo alla rimozione
You can take direct action on mould with two Camp products: the Remove Mould and the Mould Control Resanante. The aim is to remove mould stains from walls and prevent their reappearance.
The first thing to do is to spray Mould Remover on the affected surface, leave it to work for a few minutes and remove any residual mould and blackening with a damp cloth.
Then, when the surface is dry, you can apply Mould Control Restore (with a roller or brush) evenly to prevent reappearance.
The treatment before painting
Before painting the walls of your home, you can intervene with an anti-mould cycle by applying Mould Control Resanante directly on the wall.
After 48 hours, you must clean and sand the treated surface to remove stains and blackening.
Before painting, apply fixative Fixacryl Antimould that consolidates surfaces and improves paint adhesion.
Then add the Muffa Control Additive to the water paint to enhance the preventive action and proceed with painting.
One last effort and you're done
Almost there. Now reapply Mould Control Restore over the entire surface to prevent the formation of condensation mould. This step is especially recommended in particularly humid environments.
Now that you know the enemy and how to defeat it, we are waiting for you on our site with all Camp products.
